Team Trials Criteria


CRITERIA FOR SELECTION OF 2011 STATE TEAM

1. Trials will be held as follows:
First trial will be a round robin to cut to final 16 players.
The Dates will be:
12th & 13th March and
16th & 17th April

2. Trials will be run, and selections made by, The two team Captains and the Director of State teams.

3. Players must be currently playing in an affiliated competition, must be a full member of NSW Darts council and must have played 2 days of any of the 3 State events weekends and 1 DFA tournament.

4. The first weekend will be a full round robin, 501 best of 3 legs, to ascertain the final 16 ladies and 16 men who will proceed to the second trial (depending on numbers). Cost $25.00 per person per weekend.

5. Once in the final 16 you must continue until the team is announced. Failure to do so will result in a 12 month suspension from State Team Trials.

6. On the second weekend there will be team's events to reach the top 7 players.The 8th spot will be for the selection of a junior (if applicable) and who is of an equal standard to the 8th player.

7. The cost after you are selected in the team will be $600.00 and this money must be paid by 31st May. A deposit of $300.00 per person is required to be paid on the day of selection.

8. If partners are going to be travelling as well you need to notify us at time of selection and an additional deposit of $100.00 is required to be paid for partners as well.

9. All sixteen players will be required to attend all practice matches as organised by the Director of State Teams.

10. Bad behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated during these trials. Failing to adhere to this rule will result in the person concerned being asked to leave the dart area.

11. A breakdown of all final costs due will be given out at the second trial.
